GTA VI has been in development for as long as one can remember. However, a few months back Rockstar gave fans some good news by launching the trailer of the much-awaited game. The trailer also suggested that the game will be launched in 2025. However, an analyst is doubtful that the game will be able to meet the launch timeline, which could cause disappointment for the fans of the franchise.
According to a report by proactiveinvestors.com (via Wedbush Securities), following a financial report from Rockstar Games parent company, Take-Two Interactive, an analyst has predicted that the game will not hit the consoles until 2026. It doesn’t come as a surprise as release date delays have been very common with the GTA series.
If GTA VI gets delayed, the Take-Two Interactive shares are also likely to see a decline, at least until the next trailer comes out. It should be noted that talk of a release date is just hearsay at the moment and it should be taken with a grain of salt until it’s announced.

The GTA VI Trailer Has Been A Hit Among Fans
While nothing can be said for certain, one thing that’s been made official is that the game is scheduled to be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version is yet to be announced, but it’s most likely to be announced eventually.
Despite being announced at the end of 2023, it looks like the GTA VI rumor mill continues to be in full swing, and will do so in the coming months as well.
After years of rumors and speculations, the GTA VI trailer was released worldwide in December 2023 and it did not disappoint. The trailer itself has managed to shatter some records as fans eagerly wait for the next trailer that will most likely give fans a taste of what lies beyond the return to Vice City.

GTA VI Is A Massive Hit Waiting To Happen
Considering the mass hype and the trailer’s success, minting around 200 million views, it’s safe to assume that the GTA VI is going to be one of the most successful games of all time, not only in terms of reception but also due to the game’s sheer scope.
A lot of speculation hints that GTA VI will have the highest RRP at retail when it launches. Moreover, the game will likely offer the biggest and most immersive open-world map seen in any video game. So be ready to give up a big chunk of the hard drive space.
That said, GTA fans should think about increasing their hard drive space on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. If the reports are to be believed, GTA VI could occupy around 200GB at launch.
