FromSoftware is back with the sixth mainline Armored Core title Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, which is a mech-based vehicular combat game with a rebooted story and setting. This is the first Armored Core game in over a decade and needs fairly recent GPUs, although the requirements to run the game on recommended settings are quite reasonable.
The minimum requirement for Armored Core 6 reportedly lines up with that of Elden Ring (FromSoft's biggest title), and the minimum GPU for the game actually clocks in a little lower on the power scale. Based on the newly released system requirements, it requires a GeForce GTX 1650, as compared to Elden Ring's GTX 1060. However, Armored Core 6 may need a 4GB graphics card compared to Elden Ring's 3GB card. However, players will need 60GB of storage space, at least 12GB of RAM, and a 20-series Nvidia GPU before they can start exploring Rubicon.
Armored Core VI Does Not Have Ray Tracing During Missions
This is FromSoft's first PC release to support a 120fps frame rates cap. The studio had capped its previous titles at 60fps and the first PC launch of the original Dark Souls was locked at 720p and 30 FPS. Users have previously had to implement mods to overcome the locks, but Armored Core 6 shouldn't have that problem. The game's PC hardware requirements include ray tracing options but FromSoftware also wants to give gamers who might not have the most high-end PC the option to turn off ray tracing (the game will only utilise ray-traced lighting effects during the 'garage' scenes, when players customise the mech).

Players will assemble their mech from a wide variety of parts and weaponry to navigate through mission locales and they can make full use of ranged and melee combat. Armored Core VI launches on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles on August 25.
