FromSoftware is set to reveal new details about its new game, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, on August 19, 2023. According to publisher Bandai Namco, the presentation will highlight a wide variety of content from the game, including lore, missions, gameplay, and PvP elements.

Armored Core 6 Showcase Nears With Developers Ready to Present the Title In-depth

From Software first announced Armored Core 6 at The Game Awards in December 2022. Following the release of Elden Ring, the announcement for a brand new From Software title was received with an exceptionally sound reception. The sixth game in the franchise promises fast-paced mecha-battles alongside in-depth customization and thrilling boss fights, as stated by the developers. Developers will reveal more about the game at the official showcase on the date mentioned above in the article, at 4 pm PT / 7 pm ET/ (12 am BST / 1 am CEST for August 19). Armored Core 6 will officially launch on August 25, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4/PS5, and PC.

In July 2023, From Software launched a 13-minute video, diving deep into the title's gameplay, atmosphere, and mechanics. The gameplay preview also explained some of the player's abilities in detail. Following the preview, fans have been excited to see what the upcoming showcase holds. A short descriptive note from the title mentions a new substance called 'Coral' discovered on a remote planet named Rubicon 3. The said substance is an essential part of the plot in the upcoming game.

The plot turns unexpectedly as the substance catastrophically swamped Rubicon 3 alongside the stars in its system, forming a 'Burning Star System.' With Coral resurfacing more than 50 years later, players will enter Rubicon 3 as an independent mercenary and fight to acquire the substance against other extra-terrestrial corporations. FromSoftware has promised a solid 50-60 hours campaign length for Armored Core 6. With the plotline glimpse shared by the developers, fans have already begun weaving speculations regarding the game's lore.

BGMI developer Krafton has recently acquired Tango Gameworks. The Japanese game developer earlier with Microsoft, who had recently announced they would be shutting the developers' operations. With this deal, Krafton is taking its first step into the Japanese video game market. After this deal, Krafton also holds rights to the Hi-Fi Rush franchise.

Krafton Buys Tango Gameworks, Announces Expansion

Tango Gameworks has been known to develop games like Ghostwire: Tokyo, The Evil Within and Hi-Fi Rush is the flagship of the Japanese developer. In a press release, Krafton informed their players and audience about the expansion. 

As part of this strategic agreement, Krafton intends to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition and maintain continuity at Tango Gameworks, allowing the talented team to continue developing the Hi-Fi Rush IP and explore future projects. 

Krafton also announced that will continue to work on future projects that Tango Gameswork was working on. Tango Gameswork had been working on a lot of games and the franchise of Hi-Fi Rush is also likely to continue and will not be impacted by this change of power in the studio.

Krafton intends to support the Tango Gameworks team to continue its commitment to innovation and delivering fresh and exciting experiences for fans. There will be no impact on the existing game catalog of The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the original Hi-Fi Rush game.

Tango Gameswork came into being in 2010 and the first game the studio developed was The Evil Within. In May 2024, Microsoft announced that it would be shutting down three studios that were under Microsoft. Redfall developer Arkane Austin, Mighty Doom developer Alpha Dog Studios, and Tango Gameworks were the three studios. 

Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws is nearing its release this month, and fans are excited to see how the French developers will deliver a Star Wars game to gamers.
