Supercell's multiplayer online shooter game Brawl Stars is set to receive its next update featuring new Brawlers, Hypercharges, game modes, and more. The latest update will arrive in Season 28, which will start on 4 July 2024 and will be spread across the July and August Brawl Stars season.
Brawl Stars will go back into the memory as Supercell adds two new game modes, Drum Roll and Mirror Match, similar to the classic modes from 2019. Mega Box will also make a return to the game, and players can even grab the latest Hypercharge Skin: Sovereign Rico upon collecting enough Mega Boxes. Here is a brief overview of what Supercell has planned for the upcoming Brawl Stars update.

Brawl Stars New Classic Update Features New Game Modes, Brawlers, Hypercharges, And Brawler Reworks
Brawl Stars will go back to 2019 with the addition of the new classic game modes: Drum Roll and Mirror Match. In the game modes, all the brawlers will be capped at level 9, and no Hypercharges, Gadgets or Gears will be allowed.
- Mirror Match: In Mirror Match, all the players play as the same Brawler. These Brawlers will be rotated amongst the original 21 Brawlers from the game.
- Drum Roll: In this mode, players will change into different characters every time they defeat the opponent. As the match progresses, players will change into various Brawlers, and the last player standing wins the game.
Alongside the new game modes, Supercell will bring Mega Boxes back to Brawl Stars. Players can collect and open Mega Boxes to win Coins, Power Points, Bling, Gems, XP Doublers, Brawlers, Player Icons, Pins, Skins, and the new Rico Hypercharge Skin. Play Again and Play in a Team Quests will be back with the latest update, and the new season will welcome two new Brawlers, Clancy (Mythic) and Berry (Epic). Clancy is a Damage Dealer who shoots paintballs at the enemies. Berry is a Support Brawler who throws ice cream at the targeted area, damaging enemies and healing allies on impact and over time.
Frank, Meg, and Chester are reworked as Frank's speed increases with % health lost, Meg's range and damage getting reduced, and Chester receives new Star Power. With the latest update, Brawlers will also get new Hypercharges like Barley's Bottled Up Rage, Piper's Boppin', Frank's Seismic Smash, and more.
