After teasing the Classic Brawl event for Brawl Stars, Supercell has released the update featuring the return of Mega Boxes, new game modes, and more. The Classic Brawl event starts on 12 July 2024, and players can enjoy the new modes and collect Mega Boxes alongside new skins till 31 July 2024. 

During the Classic Brawl event, Brawl Stars players can collect the Mega Boxes and grab new Brawler, Skins, Cosmetics, and resources, including Gems. Players will receive one Mega Boxes upon collecting 12 Star Tokens.

Brawl Stars July Update To Feature The Return Of Mega Boxes, Addition Of Two New Game Modes, And New Skins

The highlight of the July update is the return of Mega Boxes and new game modes. Both updates bring nostalgic memories to Brawl Stars fans and take them back to 2019. To receive one Mega Box, players will have to collect 12 Star Tokens, which can be obtained with the first win of the day and as rewards from Special Quests on weekends and a Challenge later during the event. Players will receive Gems, Cosmetics, Skins and Brawlers out of the Mega Boxes. Upon collecting ten Mega Boxes, players will receive a Sovereign Rico Hypercharge Skin.

Apart from the Mega Boxes, players can enjoy the two new game modes, Mirror Match and Drum Roll.

• Mirror Match: In Mirror Match, all the players play as the same Brawler. These Brawlers will be rotated amongst the original 21 Brawlers from the game. 
• Drum Roll: In this mode, players will change into different characters every time they defeat the opponent. As the match progresses, players will change into various Brawlers, and the last player standing wins the game. 

The new event will also bring new skins to the game, including:

• Sovereign Rico
• Sovereign Gem Rico
• Sovereign Bling Rico
• Boomer Dynamike
• Deputy Brock
• Sheriff Shelly
• Reloaded Rico
• Stellar Shelly

The event will continue till 31 July 2024, so players must win as many matches and complete quests to win the Star Tokens and receive Mega Boxes. Supercell has confirmed that Mega Boxes will leave the game after 31 July 2024 and might come back for another event in the future. 

BGMI developer Krafton has recently acquired Tango Gameworks. The Japanese game developer earlier with Microsoft, who had recently announced they would be shutting the developers' operations. With this deal, Krafton is taking its first step into the Japanese video game market. After this deal, Krafton also holds rights to the Hi-Fi Rush franchise.

Krafton Buys Tango Gameworks, Announces Expansion

Tango Gameworks has been known to develop games like Ghostwire: Tokyo, The Evil Within and Hi-Fi Rush is the flagship of the Japanese developer. In a press release, Krafton informed their players and audience about the expansion. 

As part of this strategic agreement, Krafton intends to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition and maintain continuity at Tango Gameworks, allowing the talented team to continue developing the Hi-Fi Rush IP and explore future projects. 

Krafton also announced that will continue to work on future projects that Tango Gameswork was working on. Tango Gameswork had been working on a lot of games and the franchise of Hi-Fi Rush is also likely to continue and will not be impacted by this change of power in the studio.

Krafton intends to support the Tango Gameworks team to continue its commitment to innovation and delivering fresh and exciting experiences for fans. There will be no impact on the existing game catalog of The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the original Hi-Fi Rush game.

Tango Gameswork came into being in 2010 and the first game the studio developed was The Evil Within. In May 2024, Microsoft announced that it would be shutting down three studios that were under Microsoft. Redfall developer Arkane Austin, Mighty Doom developer Alpha Dog Studios, and Tango Gameworks were the three studios. 

Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws is nearing its release this month, and fans are excited to see how the French developers will deliver a Star Wars game to gamers. Before this, Ubisoft had only made one Star Wars title, Lethal Alliance, in 2004. Outlaws will possibly be the biggest open-world Star Wars game, which may borrow a lot of elements from Respawn's Star Wars Jedi series.
