Counter-Strike 2 is live and so is a whole suite of undocumented features in the game. While background changes to netcode and animations will continue to take place, an undocumented change has made it to the game, and that's the Weekly Care Package. Much like Overwatch, Valve now provides players with a range of free CS2 rewards every single week. Here's what the Weekly Care Package entails.

What are Weekly Care Packages in Counter-Strike 2?
As seen on Warowl's stream, players are now being greeted by a Weekly Care Package screen after completing matches in CS2. Typically, each Care Package contains four items of which players can choose two to redeem. Of these four items, one is typically a weapon's case, another is a common gun skin, and the remaining choices are limited-use sprays.
As the name suggests, these only appear once a week and aren't tied to performance in the game. As of now, there are no details regarding the rarity of skins available in the Care Package. At launch, the game is offering Recoil Cases to most users as part of their first weekly drop.
In other changes, Valve has added a brand new mode of matchmaking called private matchmaking. This makes hosting events and tournaments with a select audience a lot easier. Now, players can set up lobbies in specific Steam groups of their choosing. Another way of setting private lobbies is via the 'Private Matchmaking Code' that players can input to reach the correct lobby.
This change is most beneficial to Counter-Strike 2 streamers and content creators, avoiding the need to add people to their friends' list, Steam group, or even risk doxing their lobby by posting invite links in chat. More undocumented changes are likely to show up in the coming days.
