Cyberpunk 2077 is ready to introduce its grand expansion, Phantom Liberty, for fans to enjoy. As promised by CD Projekt Red, the developers have completely overhauled the title while introducing a massive list of new and exciting content. The DLC will add a brand-new district to the Night City alongside many new characters, side quests, and story-based missions. This article will offer a brief guide for players wondering how to access the DLC upon its September 26, 2023 launch.

Starting the Phantom Liberty Storyline in Cyberpunk 2077
According to the recent Twitter/X post by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 players can start the Phantom Liberty storyline right after finishing the Transmission quest, where you encounter Maman Brigutte from Voodoo Boys. Song So Mi, aka Songbird, will contact the player, briefing them regarding the expansion quest.
For players who have already finished the Transmission quest or the main Cyberpunk 2077 campaign, Songbird will contact the player shortly after turning the game on. If players wish to enjoy Phantom Liberty separately, one can start the expansion campaign from the main menu.
What will Phantom Liberty Bring to the Game?
The Update 2.0 is already a massive patch for the title that has dramatically changed Cyberpunk 2077. From redesigned skill trees and perks to improved AI and police, the new update brings a complete overhaul to the base game.
With Phantom Liberty, however, fans are looking at the brand-new Dogtown district, which will bring a plethora of content for fans. Aside from new quests and characters, the district will also feature an all-new Relic skill tree and its abilities with over 100 new items, weapons, cyberware, cars, and fashion cosmetics.
Phantom Liberty will also increase the level cap for Cyberpunk 2077 to 60, allowing players more freedom when upgrading their stats and character.
