Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the highly anticipated games of 2020, and the Polish developers, CD Projekt Red, are back to announce the game's expansion, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, at the Gamescom Opening Night Live. Yulii Pryimak, Gameplay Design at CD Projekt Red, walked the audience through the launch trailer, where the expansion gets new weapons, vehicles, police AI, and redesigned perks. All the new features showcased in the trailer will also be available in Cyberpunk 2077 as a 2.0 update for free. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PCs from September 26, 2023.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty to Feature New Weapons, Redesigned Perks
With many fans feeling that the base game lacked depth in some key areas - the idea is that Phantom Liberty might help fill some of those gaps. The DLC comes with Update 2.0, which is a complete overhaul of key gameplay systems - including Police AI and Vehicular Combat. The DLC will further add more depth to the RPG systems with a new skill tree as well as Finishers, a completely redesigned Perks system. To keep the ball rolling, there are going to be new weapons and vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 - which is sure to be a delight for fans. From the looks of things, it looks like the game has mounted a full comeback and right now might be a good time for the skeptics to get in on the action.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will be out on September 26, 2023, and available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms. All the new features introduced in the Phantom Liberty expansion will be accessible in the base game as a 2.0 update for free.
