Much like Dead Cells, The Rogue Prince of Persia will also take the classic 2D platformer approach with heavy roguelite elements. Players can expect a similar gameplay with an engaging combat where one will be able to pair abilities. While the reveal trailer showcases the combat in different levels, it is yet to be known if the title will feature iconic Prince of Persia time-bending abilities from the other Ubisoft games.
The iconic wall running and ledge twisting are still present in the game, and can also be used during combat as shown in the reveal trailer.
According to the Steam description for the Rogue Prince of Persia, the protagonist has the objective to save the capital city from the "Hun invasion wielding dark magic." Judging from the statement, gamers can expect exciting abilities to counter and difficult boss fights. With The Rogue Prince of Persia, gamers are expecting the same treatment in gameplay.
According to Ubisoft, Evil Empire, the French indie student approached the IP holder to work on their own idea regarding the popular series. Combining all the old elements from the game, The Rogue Prince of Persia delivers a unique twist to the world.
