In an interesting update shared by Delhi University, the students of Hansraj College have led the foundation of an esports society to honor the inclusion of esports in the Asian Games as a medal event. The young minds from NCR have named the society "ARCADE" and have defined it as the "first of its kind."
Esports has seen massive growth in recent years. Multiple organizations and companies have already invested in the industry while many are looking forward to joining the race. Top universities from across the world have dedicated programs related to esports. With Delhi University joining the competition, the Indian Gaming Community awaits a new dawn.

Delhi University Students Form Esports Society In Honor Of Asian Games
Recently, the Asian Games took place in Hangzhou, China where esports was announced as a medal event. Multiple top teams from across Asia joined the competition to bring silverware to their country, including India. While the Indian team did not secure a Gold medal, the team definitely showed outstanding potential in the industry. The Indian team for League of Legends secured a Top 5 finish after losing to Vietnam in the Playoffs stage. When it comes to esports, India does not lag behind in the mobile gaming industry.
"Esports isn’t just about gaming… it’s about breaking barriers, fostering community, and nurturing talent,”

Yadav further added:
"Our mission is to create a community where esports enthusiasts can not only showcase their skills but also elevate their abilities. I’ve been an ardent follower in this field for over five years now... The whole point of forming this group is for us to be at the forefront of this revolution of esports where these games are no longer just seen as time pass. "
With the rise of esports in India spreading to mainstream media, the future for gaming in the nation is bright.
