Mass Effect Comes to Destiny 2 With Upcoming Crossover Event
Destiny 2 is teaming up with EA and BioWare to bring forth an interesting crossover event featuring Mass Effect. In the official post, Bungie stated that the Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate Ship, and Drop Ship Sparrow items will be available to all players for free. While the post did not elaborate more on the event, gamers suspect it will have more than just cosmetics and items. Destiny 2 has hosted many events in the past where gamers got to play avatars based on Fortnite skins and The Witcher series; however, a Mass Effect crossover is possibly one of the biggest ones for Destiny 2 to date.
According to Eurogamer's report, a new Normandy Crew Bundle will be available in the Eververse store after the event commences. The bundle will incorporate a Commander Shepard-inspired N7 armor set for the Titans, a Garrus-inspired Vakarian set for the Hunters, and a Liara-inspired Shadow Broker set for the Warlocks. Gamers can also look forward to an Omni Strike finisher and Flux Dance, which can be bought for Silver.
Will There Be Any Free Cosmetics During the Upcoming Mass Effect Collaboration in Destiny 2?
Aside from the paid cosmetics that the crossover will bring, free-to-play gamers can also enjoy the cosmetics featured during the event. A free Alliance Requisitions Bundle will be available during the event and will feature Enhanced Defence Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow.
These items will only be available to redeem to players for the duration of the event. After the collaboration is over, one will no longer be able to get the items. Aside from the crossover, Bungie also announced Destiny 2's Riven's Wishes, which has begun now. The event will feature new ways to earn tokens which can be spent on the Last Wish raid. With Destiny 2's The Final Shape expansion set to come soon this year, gamers are excited to take part in the final events Bungie is bringing.
