The game is likely set for a 2023 launch date as the publisher would like to maintain a solid calendar year of sports releases, pairing UFC 5 alongside F1 23 and EA Sports FC.
The UFC license has been with EA for a long time and despite some shaky years in the middle following the EA Sports UFC Undisputed titles, the franchise seems to be back on its feet with EA Sports looking to up the ante with the next release. Regarding platforms on which the game will be available, it is speculated that EA Sports will push the game first for the latest consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, the developers might also consider Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and fans can enjoy the game on the previous generations of consoles. The fans will have to wait for two months to know everything for sure.
