Mortal Kombat 1 Stress Test Offered Some New Novelties
It was also reported that the game had a stress test last week and was primarily designed to identify any bugs that could be found during competitive play. The first gameplay trailer offered a glimpse into the game’s new mechanics, including the new tag team system and the new X-Ray attacks. The tag team system allows players to switch between two characters while the X-Ray attack continues to be the MK version of an "ultimate" attack that uses the whole meter.
Fans who played NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat 1 stress test discovered a few new details about Johnny Cage's Roomba. According to reports, the robot vacuum behaves just like a real-world cleaner robot that bumps into objects and reorients itself as part of its strategy.
Hopefully, PC players won't have to wait long to be included in future betas or stress tests. There will possibly be another opportunity to play the game before its release date via an open beta. Fans simply hope NetherRealm manages to do something about its rumored 100GB install size before then.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 19. Until then, NetherRealm will drip-feed details about the other gameplay modes and perhaps some hints about the storyline, considering the plot has been kept under wraps.
