The Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of Erdtree is proceeding smoothly according to FromSoftware's parent company Kadokawa. The brief update on the development of the DLC has Elden Ring fans excited as they have been waiting for almost six months since its announcement back in February 2023. According to Kadokawa's recent statement, the release timing of the DLC for Eldend Ring is still under the curtains; however, the development process is proceeding smoothly.
FromSoftware has been known for delivering top-tier expansions since its inception. Veteran fans of the Soulsborne franchise will know that DLCs like 'The Artorias of the Abyss' and 'Ringed City' for Dark Souls and Dark Souls III are beloved by the entire community. With Elden Ring's DLC announced gamers are expecting highly of the expansion in the coming months.

The Shadow of Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring has some pretty huge shoes to fill after Hidetaka Miyazaki's extraordinary campaign. It is yet to see what the expansion's story will revolve around; however, according to the teaser image launched in March by FromSoftware, fans have been speculating a wide range of possibilities, including an origin of Miquela's storyline and Death Blight in the Lands Between.
In other speculations, gamers are suspecting that the expansion may bring back cut content such as the St.Trina questline. In the main game, many gamers were offered new ways to approach the quest characters; however, players always felt the plotlines were way short and yet had the potential to expand the overall storyline for Elden Ring.

When focusing on the main objective, Elden Ring offers a solid 58-hour campaign in length while gamers also get the opportunity to explore the open world and do some mini-quests on the map. Elden Ring was Miyazaki's first-ever complete open-world title where Soulsborne fans could pour in hours completing multiple quest lines and fighting over bosses.
The ultimate choice offered by FromSoftware to fans was a colossal deal in many ways. Fast forward to February 2023, exactly a year after the main game's launch, the developers teased the DLC through an image of a mysterious character riding in the Lands Between. Following the tease, fans have been excited to see what the expansion brings to the table, with all of Miyazaki's possibilities regarding continuing the game's story.
