As per the map veto, Gen.G went ahead with the Sunset ban whereas FUT Esports banned the map of Breeze. Both the teams began their battle on Gen.G's map pick of Haven with FUT starting on the attack. All eyes were on FUT Esports' qRaxs and Munchkin from Gen.G after their MVP performance in their games against True Rippers.
After a slow start from both sides, t3xture helped Gen.G pick up the pace with his ace in the 7th round, marking the beginning of Gen.G's unstoppable winning streak. Gen.G won eight back-to-back rounds to secure a 12-3 scoreline with multi-frags from Munchkin, and Lakia in between. FUT Esports tried to break Gen.G's momentum with their tactical timeout, helping them grab their 4 round on Haven. When it seemed that FUT Esports would win their 5th round, Karon clutched the round with an ace, helping Gen.G win the map with a 13-4 scoreline.
The second map was FUT Esports' pick of Ascent, a do-or-die map for the Turkish side. FUT Esports started strong on Ascent with AtaKaptan taking the responsibility of getting his team openings on his shoulders. Gen.G tried to reduce the lead as the team equalised the scoreline by the end of the first half. As the game entered the second half, every member of FUT Esports stepped up as the team went on to win seven rounds in succession to secure the map of Ascent with a 13-6 scoreline. MrFaliN and AtaKaptan dropped 17 crucial frags each to stop the Korean Juggernaut from winning the second map.
For the third game, teams entered the decider map of Lotus with Gen.G starting on the attack. In the first half, Munchkin and Meteor led Gen.G from the front as the team secured an early lead on Lotus. FUT Esports was crumbling, and none of the star players like cNed and qRaxs had any answer to Gen.G's attack. As the first half ended, the scoreline read 8-4 in favour of Gen.G.
In the second half, FUT Esports started winning rounds to reduce their deficit with cNed, and MrFaliN stepping up. By the end of the 22nd round, FUT Esports equalised the scoreline to 11 each. The dormant cNed and qRaxs had woken up and punished every opponent coming their way. When it seemed that FUT had won the map, the Korean initiator, Lakia, stepped up to clutch the 24th round, leaving everyone stunned and pushing the game into overtime. Despite Gen.G's efforts FUT Esports continued to decimate their opponents as they won back-to-back rounds in overtime. With qRaxs 4K and cNed securing the final kill, FUT won the map of Lotus with a 14-12 scoreline, making them the second team to enter the Convergence grand finals.
