G2 Esports Secure The First LEC All-Pro Team Award After Dominant Summer Split
During their prime, G2 Esports won the Mid Season Invitational and made it to Grand Finals in Worlds. Being the only Western team to achieve such a high position, fans look forward to this team and hope for another contender run in an international tournament every year. During this season, they only lost a single game in the regular matches and went on an undefeated streak in the Group Stages.
Out of all the players in G2 Esports, their jungler Yike has put up some of the most dominant performances this entire season. No one expected Yike to fit in Jankos’ shoes with such ease and Yike proved why he deserves a spot on the team. While Yike did step up individually, other players on the roster did not lag behind either.
Players like Broken Blade, Caps, and Hans Sama put up consistent performances in the entire split. Now G2 will be focusing on the bigger picture of the split: The LEC Season Finals 2023 which will decide the European spot in Worlds. They will begin their journey against Team BDS but are expected to win the event.
