Ex-8Bit Player 'Beast' Joins Global Esports' BGMI Lineup
In an announcement video posted to various social media platforms, Global Esports announced that they will be adding new players to their BGMI roster. Earlier it was leaked that one of these players could be an ex-8Bit member. This was later confirmed in the social media post where Global Esports announced the lineup by saying:
"Behind every successful rebuild, is a process of unlearning and learning. This is the start of our new journey with Mavi and Ninjaboi, as we bring in some of the youngest & brightest talents in the game. They’re ready to learn, and they’re ready to fight. #GEFighting"
The Mavi-led lineup of young talents will include players who have showcased incredible skill on the virtual battlefield at a very young age. The lineup will include the following players:
- Harmandeep “Mavi” Singh
- Tanjot “Ninjaboi” Singh
- Raghuraj “Slug” Singh
- Harshit “Beast” Yadav
- Akshit “Arclyn” Kumar
One of the youngest additions to this lineup, 'Beast,' was seen playing with 8Bit Esports just a few weeks prior to the announcement. Rushindra Sinha, co-owner of Global Esports had earlier confirmed that he was at the BGIS 2023 LAN finals to scout young talents and it seems that they've made good on their word.
Global Esports' previous lineup was also led by Mavi but due to shaky performances, the organization had to bid farewell to the core lineup and began the quest of scouting young talents that could compete with the new wave of players. Talking about the kind of lineup Global Esports is looking for, Vatsal Uniyal, Head of Esports at Global Esports said:
"We needed players who were as hungry for the win as we are. We needed them to be focused from the get-go. The drive and commitment that Global Esports has, we needed our players to share the same, and I truly think this team has all of those."
This new lineup will be seen playing at the upcoming Upthrust Esports' Diwali Battle Season 2 which has a prize pool of Rs. 30 lakh for the finals. It will be a LAN event which will take place in Bengaluru from November 7 to 8.
