As the Day 2 of Round 2 of Battleground Mobile Series: The Grind 2023 ends, the fan favourite Global Esports has been eliminated from the BGIS: The Grind 2023. Under the leadership of IGL Harmandeep "Mavi" Singh, the newly formed BGMI team could not capitalize on their strengths in BGIS Grind, but they still have a chance to qualify for the BGIS: Main Event. BGIS in-game qualifiers will be the last chance Global Esports will have to reclaim some ground.
Global Esports Stand 11th in Group Two of Round Two of BGIS: The Grind 2023
Global Esports was part of the second group alongside 15 other teams in Round Two. The teams played six matches, after which the top 8 qualified for the next round based on their position. Global Esports could not qualify as they stood 11th with just 42 points.
The top eight teams which qualified for the third round are:
- Big Brother Esports (70 points)
- Hindustan Gaming (68 points)
- Orangutan Gaming (67 points)
- Do or Die (62 points)
- Lucknow Giants (58 points)
- 7Habit (57 points)
- Dragon Esports (54 points)
- HUB Esports (51 points)
These eight teams will play against 56 other teams in the BGIS: The Grind 2023 Grand Finals from 17 August to 20 August 2023. The top 32 teams in the Grand Finals will get a direct entry in the third round of BGIS 2023: Main Event, while the bottom half will qualify for the second round.
Even though Global Esports couldn't qualify, the team played aggressively throughout the six matches, helping them gather 26 elimination points. Global Esports will get another chance to rectify their mistakes in the BGMI in-game qualifiers.
