Recently, google took everyone by surprise when it announced its Pixel launch event for August 13 this year instead of the usual October timeline. The company has since confirmed the Pixel 9 series will launch at the event, and today, Google dropped an official teaser for the Pixel 9 Pro, showing the brand-new design and hinting at its powerful AI capabilities.
The teaser video is live on the Google Store website and shows Google Gemini running on the new Pixel 9 Pro. Google’s X account reposted the video with the caption, “It can do a lot—even let your old phone down easy.”

Google Pixel 9 Pro Expected Features
As the demo video shows, viewers are treated to a view of the rear panel of the phone, revealing the sleek new flat-edged aesthetic that offers the Pixel series an iPhone-like look. The new camera bar can also be seen featuring three lenses, which confirms what reports have already revealed: the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will boast a triple camera setup.
The Pixel 9 series is also expected to feature more advanced AI features powered by Gemini, which could be exclusive to the Pro models. All rumors will be put to rest when the company announces the smartphones in just a few week's time.

Google Pixel 9 Color Options
The Pixel 9 is set to come in colors Google likes to call Obsidian, Porcelain, Cosmo, and Mojito. It’s safe to assume that the Cosmo shade will be similar to a rose shade, while the Mojito color could have a sharp green flavor.
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are said to introduce a hazel and a pink shade to sit alongside the Obsidian and Porcelain. There are some questions on the availability of these four colors with some possibly available on the higher storage tiers. Finally, users have the Pixel 9 Pro Fold listings which only show two colors, the muted black and off-white of Obsidian and Porcelain.
Google is releasing three standard Pixel 9 models (and a fourth foldable variant). This year’s Pixel 9 Pro will come with upgraded specs users would expect from a Pro label, but it will retain the smaller form factor of the Pixel 9. If users want the Pro specs in a similar larger size sported by the Pixel 8 Pro, they will need to move up to the Pixel 9 Pro XL, which starts at €1,199.
