Nvidia Announces DLSS 3, DLAA and Nvidia Reflex Support For Horizon Forbidden West PC Port At CES 2024
At CES 2024, Nvidia showcased the announcement trailer for Nvidia technology support for the Horizon Forbidden West PC port. The supporting technology includes DLSS 3, DLAA, and Nvidia Reflex, and each feature will perform its required task to provide a smooth gaming experience.
Horizon Zero Dawn, the prequel to Forbidden West, was also made available on PC but failed to meet the expectations due to several issues. After releasing Zero Dawn's PC version in 2020, the game had a lot of bugs alongside several reports of frequent crashes. While Guerilla overcame these issues in the subsequent updates, they want to start with Horizon Forbidden West.
Nvidia DLSS 3 or Deep Learning Super Sampling can be excessed on RTX graphics cards, which will source the GPU's power and use AI models to generate new frames and reconstruct images to enhance the resolution. Horizon Forbidden West PC port will also include DLAA or Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing, providing gamers with AI-enhanced image quality. Nvidia ensures reduced latency from the game with its Nvidia Reflex, thanks to its optimization processes running under the hood.
Horizon Forbidden West PC port will include the base game alongside the Burning Shores expansion and will be released in early 2024. The dates of the release of the PC version are still uncertain. Players will assume the role of the hunter Ashly Burch, aka Aloy, who goes on to explore the post-apocalyptic world of the mysterious frontier, Forbidden West. After the conclusion of the base game, Aloy heads to Los Angeles in Burning Shores expansions.
While the PlayStation-exclusive version of Horizon Forbidden West was highly applauded, Guerilla Games and Nixxes Software will be on their toe to release the PC port of the game with the utmost perfection.
