Valorant Convergence 2024 To Be Bigger And More Exciting, Says Sukamal Pegu
Valorant Convergence 2023 by Riot Games and The Esports Club was a four-day saga with the Turkish giants, FUT Esports, coming out as the tournament champions after defeating Team Vitality in the best-of-five grand finals. Convergence 2023 featured the top Valorant-partnered teams across three regions, giving the home team, True Rippers, an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Sukamal Pegu, the Esports Lead for India and South Asia at Riot Games, informed the Indian fans that the Valorant Convergence will return to India in 2024 and will be "bigger and more exciting". He also appreciated the overwhelming response from the Indian fans on his LinkedIn post by saying:
Convergence was not only a shared goal but also a shared product with the Indian fans. You kept the feedback running non-stop, pointing errors, and giving us a list of things you would like to see in the show the next day! The Grand Finals walk-in was a complete fan product where the athletes did their walk-in through the stadium audience. I am told by the FUT Esports team that they have never heard such a loud support for them in any other event, globally!
Arun Rajappa, Country Manager, India and South Asia, Riot Games, expressed his emotions after the grand success of Valorant Convergence 2023.
Convergence was the perfect finale to a year of exciting initiatives in India and South Asia, from celebrating VALORANT's anniversary with fans at gaming cafes, to cheering on teams at the VCSA, to giving back to the community at Harbor's anniversary event. We were also thrilled to bring amazing influencers together at Radiant Retreat. It's been a fantastic journey, and we can't wait to bring even more games and experiences to our players in the region in 2024.
