Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's First Look is Finally Here With Some Gameplay Insights
After its announcement in 2021, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle disappeared from the public eye for almost two years. At the Xbox Game Direct 2024 hosted on January 18, Bethesda officially revealed a gameplay trailer for the title featuring many popular characters from the series and including a host of new adventures Indiana Jones will go on.
Set between the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade movies by Steven Spielberg and Lucasfilm, the Great Circle will take new turns from the protagonist's perspective. The game will be an Xbox and PC exclusive title and will be available on Xbox Game Pass and Steam. MachineGames design director Jens Andersson stated that the game is about putting the player in the shoes of an iconic hero. The title is mostly in first-person, so one has the chance to truly become Indy.
The developers also stated that first-person makes one a part of the world, allowing one to explore and experience things more intimately. Although the game will pull the camera out during specific moments, as shown in the trailer, the base experience of adventuring uncharted territory with Indiana Jones will remain the same.
