The Valorant Champions Tour has found its top 4 teams for the current season. South East Asia’s Paper Rex has showcased excellent performances with the addition of 'Something' to their Valorant roster. They sent the 2022 Champions winner, LOUD Esports to the Lower Bracket which proves they are one of the strongest teams in the tournament.
Recently, Paper Rex’s coach, Alex confirmed that Jinggg will have to leave the team next year due to mandatory military service. This also means that Champions 2023 will be Paper Rex’s last tournament with Jinggg.

Jinggg To Join Military Service After Valorant Champions 2023
After the addition of Jinggg, Paper Rex has been on a dominant winning streak. During the regular season, they decimated their opponents at VCT Pacific and went on to secure the Pacific Champions title. Now, Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie will have to leave the team to complete their mandatory military service in Singapore.
PRX head coach, Alecks stated:
“Jinggg is leaving PRX at the end of this season and will not be participating in the 2024 season. We would like to send him to the army as soon as possible. That way, he will leave the army sooner,”
VCT Champions 2023 will be Jinggg’s last tournament with Paper Rex and they are just a few steps away from winning the biggest Championship of the year. They will be going up against North America’s Evil Geniuses on August 24, in the Upper Bracket finals of the tournament. After spending a brief tenure with Team SMG and Reality Rif, the 20-year-old duelist player joined Paper Rex where he gained international acclaim.
Paper Rex’s best international result so far has been securing second place at VCT Masters Copenhagen 2022. During their 2022 Masters run, they were just a match away from winning it all but EMEA’s FunPlus Phoenix snatched the trophy from them with an overall 3-2 scoreline.
