LCS Summer 2023 is finally set to kickoff from June 15th. LCS Players Association has finally come into a mutual agreement with Riot and now that all things are set, the North American League is ready to comeback stronger than ever.
As mentioned earlier, Riot and LCS Players Association were involved in a conflict of interests leading them to delay the Summer Split which was initially scheduled to begin from June 10th. There was a certain point where NA ran the risk of losing their spot for Worlds 2023. However, the situation has calmed down and later, Riot announced that LCS Summer 2023 will kickoff from June 15th.
LCS Summer 2023 Format
The LCS Summer Split 2023 is the 13th North American League season where 10 teams will compete for a massive prizepool of 200,000 USD and a slot to Worlds 2023. The event will take place from 15th June, 2023 to 20th August, 2023. The Group Stage will feature a Double Round Robin where teams will play each other in a Best of 1 format. Moving into the Playoffs, the Split will feature 8 teams where the top 2 teams will be seeded into the Upper Bracket Semi Finals. Playoffs will have Double Elimination Best of 5 bracket.

- Immortals.

Cloud9 and Golden Guardians have already represented LCS in MSI 2023.
