On October 1, 2023, Hyderabad witnessed a gaming extravaganza with the Rise of Legion event at Meydan Expo Center, brought by Lenovo and Intel. Lenovo collaborated with The Esports Club to host the Rise of Legion gaming event, featuring a thrilling Valorant LAN tournament, meet and greets with well-known creators, a chance for fans to get their hands on the latest Legion laptops and participate in Valorant 5v5 TDM, EA FC 24 and Mortal Kombat 1 community tournaments. Rise of Legion Hyderabad Recap
At the Rise of Legion Hyderabad, the top four teams from the online qualifiers participated in the LAN finals. The four qualified teams were Airavata Esports, Alternate Realities, D Rank Esports, and DUPB Esports. In the first semifinals, Alternate Realities defeated D Rank Esports on the map of Bind with a 13-5 scoreline. Airavata Esports went against DUPB Esports in the second semifinals on the map of Ascent where Airavata Esports won with a 13-4 scoreline.
In the grand finals, Airavata Esports and Alternate Realities went against each other in a best-of-three matchup. Airavata Esports won the first game on the map of Bind with a 13-9 scoreline. On the second map of Haven, Airavate Esports did not give their opponent any chance to build momentum, closing the map with a 13-3 scoreline. With the victory on Haven, Airavata Esports became the champions of the Rise of Legion Hyderabad Valorant Tournament.
Airavata Esports won a prize of Rs. 1,00,000, while Alternate Realities went home with Rs. 50,000. DUPB Esports and D Rank Esports received Rs. 25,000 for their 3-4 finish. Rise of Legion featured Valorant 5v5 TDM, EA FC 24, and Mortal Kombat 1 community tournaments with a combined prize pool of Rs. 1,00,000. Here are the winners:
