The upcoming souls-like adventure title "Lies of P" seems to have made its way to Xbox Game Pass one day ahead of schedule. The title is one of the most hotly-anticipated releases of the year on the back of its soulslike leanings as well as an interesting Gothic art style that evokes memories of Bloodborne for FromSoftware fans. The game is now available on Xbox Game Pass, giving subscribers a one-day jumpstart on the game ahead of other PC and console players.
Lies of P is Now Available on Xbox Game Pass
'Lies of P' is inspired by Carlo Collodi's novel 'The Adventures of Pinocchio' where it tells the story of Pinocchio, a robot puppet who can lie unlike the other puppets, which plays an important role in the decision-making of the storyline. The early launch of the game was a bit of a surprise as the launch had previously been slated for September 19. Aaron Greenberg, Xbox Vice-President of Game Marketing also confirmed the news of the game getting launched earlier on his Twitter account. Additionally, Lies of P is being made available on Steam for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. Customers who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game received early access to it three days before it was scheduled to go on sale.
In a controversial move right before its launch, Neowiz Games and Round 8 added the Denuvo DRM, in an attempt to crack down on players' chances of pirating the game. The software was added on September 15, 2023, to the game right before the launch of the Deluxe Version of the game, which took a lot of new players by surprise as the developers had not mentioned it earlier. Denovo DRM has gained quite a reputation within the gaming community for its supposed detrimental effect on the performance of PC games.
