Insomniac Games has confirmed that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will feature at San Diego Comic-Con this month. Though Insomniac offered no information on what fans should expect to see from the PlayStation 5 game, audiences are speculating that the studio will release some extended gameplay footage at SDCC.
A Mondo poster for the highly anticipated game will be available exclusively at the Comic-Con. Illustrated by artist Tomer Hanuka, the limited edition poster shows Peter Parker (Yuri Lowenthal) and Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) teaming up to fight Venom (Tony Todd). The game serves as a follow-up to the 2018 title Marvel’s Spider-Man and its 2020 spin-off, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Marvel Promises Big Announcements And Exclusive Merch For SDCC Amidst More Spider-Man 2 Info
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 already got a prominent showcase last month at Summer Game Fest where fans got to see the first gameplay footage from the title. In the PS5 game, Kraven will play a pivotal role as he targets new victims across New York. Peter Parker will most likely be going after Kraven since he has been seen wearing his black Symbiote suit in the teaser.
Insomniac insiders have revealed that Miles Morales will still be around and players will be able to control both characters. Miles reportedly has a crucial part to play in helping Peter shed the Symbiote. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is set to release on October 20, so Insomniac probably won't have a lot of other opportunities to showcase the game ahead of launch.
Marvel has also confirmed that the studio will be a part of the San Diego Comic-Con this July and is set to line up some big panels, announcements, and fan experiences. Fans can also catch the live stream broadcast hosted by Ryan Penagos, Langston Belton, Ray Lowe, and Josh Saleh, take part in the giveaways, and splurge on convention-exclusive merchandise at The Official Marvel Store.
The SDCC kicks off on July 20 and will conclude on July 23. The first session on July 20 is a design panel headlined by Marvel VP Ryan Penagos who will helm the 'Designing the X-Men' session and talk about logos, data pages, the Hellfire Gala ensembles, and Krakoan topography. Audiences will also get the inside scoop about the creative process behind the modern era of X-Men along with an exclusive giveaway. On July 22, the studio is set to drop some big announcements and the fate of mega franchises like Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Ultimate Universe. Details of the PS5 game are also most likely to be revealed during this panel.
