Spider-Man 2 Title Update Promises Highly Requested Features Next Month
Insomniac Games' latest post on X promises some huge additions to Marvel's Spider-Man 2 with the title update next month. The update has a launch date of March 7, 2024, and will bring forth a plethora of new features like the New Game+ mode, new suits, and much more. Currently, Insomniac has not disclosed anything else for the update, aside from a few features. However, fans are expecting more additions, alongside a DLC announcement. After four months, this is the first time Insomniac will push an update so big for Spider-Man 2. Naturally, gamers are excited to see what it brings.
What to Expect from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Title Update and New Game+ Mode?
While Spider-Man 2 delivers a praiseworthy narrative, gamers do not have the option to enjoy it again with their unlocked gear if they choose to replay the campaign. As the title came out without a New Game+ mode, fans have repeatedly requested the feature for a better completion rate on PlayStation 5. After months of waiting, Insomniac has finally listened to the calls and decided to add the feature with the upcoming title update. While gamers are curious if the developers will implement anything new to the New Game+, one can assume it will be similar to Spider-Man (2018).
The New Game+ mode will allow players to restart Peter and Miles' journey with all the acquired gadgets and skills. Not only this will help gamers with their improved completion rate, but also make the experience much more enjoyable, using advanced gears in the early sections of Spider-Man 2. The new suits are also something fans are looking forward to. The prequel had a total of 27 suits for Peter. With Spider-Man 2, Insomniac boosted that number to 78, including Miles Morales' suit options. As Insomniac has always delivered both classic comic books and original designs for the web slingers, the upcoming update holds a lot of expectations from fans.
