Meta has started rolling out its AI chatbot, dubbed the Meta AI, across all its platforms including Instagram WhatsApp, Facebook, and Messenger. As per the company, the chatbot is built on its newest large language model, Llama 3, and is capable of complex reasoning, following instructions, visualizing ideas, and solving problems.
Users who have received the Meta AI update on all platforms will automatically see the blue-purple circle in the search box across all platforms. Users can also access it using the “@MetaAI” prompt to summon it in a group chat on WhatsApp and share queries with the AI chatbot.
Since the rollout is still in process, there is a possibility that some users might not have received the update yet. All they can do is wait for the update to use the AI chatbot and have fun with it.

How Can Users Access the Meta AI Chatbot
On Facebook, users will be able to find it on their Feed as well. If users see something that interests them, they can ask Meta AI for more related information. “So if you see a photo of the northern lights in Iceland, you can ask Meta AI what time of year is best to check out the aurora borealis,” Meta cites as an example.
To use it on Instagram and WhatsApp, users will be able to summon it by tagging (@MetaAI) and typing their query. Users can share the response with another person by pressing enter after the chatbot has responded. Users can also access the chatbot on a browser through its website meta.ai.
For users who don’t want to use MEta AI and do not want to see it on any of the platforms, they can disable the chatbot by following simple steps.
