Mortal Kombat 1 is almost here and NetherRealm stopped by EVO 2023 to reveal that Ashrah, Reptile and Havik will be joining the game's line-up which will also feature a cameo by Sareena, a demon who made her first appearance in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero as a non-playable boss character. These characters will join the likes of Geras, Sektor, Cyrax, Frost, and Scorpion.
The trailer also offered a glimpse at The Kombat Pack, which includes guest characters like Omni-Man and Homelander who will be featured in Mortal Kombat 1’s Premium Edition as DLC. The fighting game is set to release on September 19 and dropped a full trailer at EVO 2023.

Reptile Redesign Hailed As 'The Best MK1 Design So Far' By Fans
The 3:46-minute trailer shows Havik and Ashrah, who were first introduced in 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception, the sixth mainline entry in the franchise. While Ashrah is a demon in disguise from the Netherrealm, Havik is a Cleric of Chaos and a militant anarchist whose go-to fighting move is tearing off his own arm! In the upcoming title, Havik's magical regeneration is a big focus.
As for the reimagined Reptile in Mortal Kombat 1, it is being hailed as “the best MK1 design so far” by fighting game fans. The new look steers away from the humanoid Saurain design used in Mortal Kombat X and trades it for a more creature-esque, lizard-like form. In the game, he can shapeshift at will into his true form and during fights, he can switch rapidly between his human and bestial forms. He can turn invisible too!
Mortal Kombat 1 has a closed beta that's due August 18, with guaranteed access for those who can preorder the Premium Edition which will be priced at $109.99 and features Kombat Pack, Early access to Mortal Kombat 1, Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage, 5 new Kameo characters, 1-week early access to DLC characters Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander, Takeda and access to the closed beta.
