Naughty Dog's head of technology Christian Gyrling has decided to leave the company after his 17-year tenure. In an official Twitter/X post, the PlayStation Studio thanked the developer for contributing to many projects that the studio has brought forth to fans in the past years. Naughty Dog also mentioned that they are thankful for Gyrling's work at the studio and his teammates. The message concludes with the studio announcing Gyrling's replacement, the 19-year veteran Travis Mcintosh filling the shoes next.
Christian Gyrling's 17 long years at Naughty Dog delivered some great titles for the gaming community. With the developer leaving his post, it is yet to see what the future holds for the PlayStation Studio.

Christian Gyrling Leaves Naughty Dog After Almost Two Decades
On his official Twitter/X handle, Christian Gyrling posted a tweet stating how proud he was of his journey with Naughty Dog. The veteran has been a part of countless projects including Uncharted and The Last of Us. On his official LinkedIn handle, Gyrling also mentioned his journey from the early Uncharted days to The Last of Us games. Christian was solely responsible for shipping over 50+ million copies to date while working in the Naughty Dog studios. It is a great feat to achieve for a veteran.
Concluding his message in the LinkedIn post, Christian stated that it is time for him to take a 'backseat' from development and instead look forward to being a consumer of art coming out of Naughty Dog. Gyrling did not disclose any future plans he had regarding his career in both of his posts. However, fans and gamers alike are speculating about a different position he may opt for in the future, considering his wide range of talents.
On the other hand, Travis McIntosh fills Gyrling's shoes as the new head of technology at Naughty Dog. Being a veteran in the industry for 19 years, McIntosh has been a part of massive projects within Naughty Dog. Before his current position, Travis was a programming director in the studios for 19 years. Moreover, his early works at the THQ also dictated his work as a programmer. His long list of work has finally granted him the position of head of technology.
With a shift in the technology head, fans are carrying more expectations from the studio. Naughty Dog has always been one of the biggest names within the industry. With the recent changes, it is yet to be seen what they have in their pipeline.
