Nintendo, the creator behind some of the most popular consoles worldwide has confirmed that it will announce its next-generation console during the ongoing fiscal year. This statement was brought to light alongside Nintendo's financial results. Shuntaro Furukawa, the President of the company has also stated that fans can expect a Nintendo Direct next month. However, the presentation will not incorporate any information on the new console.
Moreover, the hardware-related news on the teased console is expected to arrive later in the year. This announcement was also seen in a recent Nintendo tweet by the president.

Nintendo Switch Successor to be Announced in 2024
In a recent tweet posted by Furukawa, the President of Nintendo, the company stated that it will be holding an announcement soon about the "successor" to the Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year. The tweet also mentioned that it has been over nine years since they announced Nintendo Switch, all the way back in March 2015. Reading further, the tweet mentions the Nintendo Direct scheduled for June 2024.
"This is Furukawa, President of Nintendo. We will announce the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year. It will have been over nine years since we announced the existence of Nintendo Switch back in March 2015."
Reading this official news from the company, fans are extremely excited and are anticipating the next step from Nintendo. The Switch was one of the most successful consoles from Nintendo, as the console is still receiving major titles to this day. While it had its fair share of hardware limitations, it still delivered an amazing experience to gamers looking for a more mobile experience with powerful hardware. Speaking of hardware, so far, there is no information available regarding the specifications of the future console.
