NVIDIA has officially announced that the leading AI application developers across a wide range of industries are using NVIDIA digital human technologies. These include NVIDIA ACE, NeMo, and RTX rendering technologies, that help create lifelike avatars for both commercial applications and dynamic game characters. One can witness the results of these technologies through the GTC, a global AI conference held this week in San Jose, California. Viewers can also expect many technology demonstrations from AI giants like HippocraticAI, Inworld AI, and UneeQ.

NVIDIA Digital Human Technologies Ready to Incorporate AI Into Lifelike Avatars
At GDC 2024 and GTC 2024, NVIDIA announced that the leading AI developers across a wide range of industries are using NVIDIA Digital human technologies to create lifelike avatars. The company's digital human suite of technologies also includes the popular Avatar Cloud Endinge, a.k.a ACE. This is an exceptional AI implementation for speech and animation which delivers a boost in terms of AI efficiency and creation.
NeMo, on the other hand, is popular for handling language. Lastly, NVIDIA RTX excels at ray-traced rendering, which enables developers to build digital humans capable of AI-powered natural language interactions. These AI additions make a lifelike artificial intelligence perform realistic and dynamic conversations, as they all complement different segments of the avatar.
Inworld AI's Collaboration with NVIDIA On the New Covert Protocol Tech Demo
One of the most astonishing feats achieved by NVIDIA technologies is their recent Inworld collaboration, where the tech giant showcased the Covert Protocol tech demo. In the demo, one acts as a private detective who completes objectives based on the outcome of the conversations with characters in the scene. The Covert Protocol unlocks social simulation game mechanics with the Digital Humans (AI) acting as custodians of crucial information. They offer challenges that are key to the narrative development in a scene. This is the first time AI has been used in the crucial way of making lifelike conversations with another person.
The project is powered by the Inworld Engine, leveraging NVIDIA ACE. Each player's journey through the Cover Protocol project is unique. Much like a video game, the real-time decisions and strategic planning made during the protocol can lead to various outcomes. No two playthroughs are alike. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the Covert Protocol is set to make the MetaHuman fast and simple. Nvidia will likely shed more light on the project in the coming months.
