Troy Baker & Ashley Johnson Record Commentary For Haunted House Experience
Universal has reportedly worked closely with the game's developer Naughty Dog and The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann to bring the ride to life. Eventgoers will be able to participate in a scare maze that’s based on the original game’s Pittsburgh location, with pre-recorded commentary from Baker and Johnson bringing Joel and Ellie to life.
Universal Orlando’s Lora Sauls shared, “We got to use the voiceover actors from the video game. We did voiceover recordings with them and they re-recorded our entire dialogue for our haunted house." She further added, “So we were very, very excited to work with both Troy and Ashley on the re-recording of our haunted house dialogue.”
Interestingly, Baker and Johnson are also set to work together in the new musical RPG Stray Gods: The roleplaying musical by Melbourne’s Summerfall Studios which is set to release this week. Written by Dragon Age lead David Gaider, Stray Gods is based on Greek mythology and will also star Merle Dandridge who plays Marlene in The Last of Us games and will voice goddess of love Aphrodite. While Johnson is voicing the character of the poetic muse Calliope, Baker, will be voicing the role of the god Apollo.
