With SKRossi leaving Global Esports and Velocity Gaming ceasing its operation in Esports, this past week has been quite turbulent for the fans. While the Indian gaming community was digesting the news, Orangutan Gaming came up with an announcement of their own, stating that the organization is parting ways with their female Valorant roster, Orangutan X. The decision came after the team's defeat against Team SMG and SCYTHE NWJ in the VCT 2023: Game Changers APAC Elite, thus getting eliminated from the tournament. With their elimination, they lost their chance to qualify for the VCT 2023: Game Changers Championship, taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in November.
Orangutan X Valorant's roster consisted of Casper, Emi, Japips, Sway, and Twirly, with Gunner leading the coaching department for the team. Japsis, Casper, and Gunner have been with Orangutan X from the beginning, with Sway joining her old team after Chloe's exit.

In the VCT 2023: Game Changers APAC Open 1, Orangutan X made their way to the final but received a crushing defeat from the APAC champions, Team SMG, who will be representing APAC in the upcoming Game Changers Championship. In their forthcoming Game Changers Open, Orangutan X came third and fourth.
With their consistent run in the Game Changers, Orangutan X made their way to the VCT 2023: Game Changers APAC Elite, but they needed help to keep up with the APAC juggernauts, Team SMG. Their defeat against Team SMG and SCYTHE NWJ eliminated them from the tournament.
All the players have announced their free agency and are looking for opportunities to compete in the upcoming VCT 2024 circuit. It will be interesting to see which teams pick up the players. With Indian players like Meow16K, Muffinloop, DoctorRosee, and Casper being free agents, GC teams' scouts will look forward to creating a solid team for the upcoming season.
