Overwatch World Cup Qualifiers begin tomorrow, June 21, 2023, with the Indian team set to go all out against the best teams in Asia. The top 5 teams from the Qualifiers will make a run for the ultimate goal of winning the World Championship. The Overwatch World Cup in 2023 will be a successor to the one held in 2019.
As mentioned by Blizzard, the prize pool of the World Cup will be decided on the last day of the event as it will be crowd funded through in-game bundles and cosmetics. The main objective of the tournament is to unite the best teams across the globe and develop sportsmanship through respectful competition and rivalry.

Here's the list of 12 teams that will be competing at the OWWC APAC Qualifiers 2023 :

- Team Malaysia
- Team Thailand
- Team Australia
- Team New Zealand
- Team Philippines
- Team South Korea
- Team Taiwan
- Team Hong Kong
- Team Japan
- Team Indonesia
All the above teams have been grouped into two categories: Group A and Group B. The top three teams from Group A and the top two teams from Group B will qualify for the Main Event which is a LAN scheduled for later this year. The Indian team has historically shown strong performances at the APAC Derby, only losing one match to Taiwan.
