With the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 just a month away, PGL announced that they will be streaming the event on Kick "without a single ad interruption." PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 will be Kick's first significant esports tournament coverage since its launch.
Kick has been in talks with creators since day one, promoting its creator-friendly policies. Kick was considered one of Twitch's biggest rivals and even broke the internet with its $100 million deal with the renowned streamer xQc. With Kick's entry into the esports scene, the live-streaming platform is expanding its domain and attracting audiences with "ad-free" live coverage of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.

PGL To Stream PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 CS2 Event On Kick
While Kick had a slow start, it started to make a name for itself after signing streaming deals with renowned creators like GM Hikaru Nakamura, alongside a $100 million non-exclusive deal with xQc. At the same time, Kick provided creators with a friendly revenue split of 95%, which was considered a blessing compared to Twitch's revenue split.
Despite the friendly policies, Kick did not appeal to the audience which was accustomed to streaming giants like Twitch and YouTube. With the arrival of prominent esports tournaments like PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, Kick will look forward to gaining significant viewership. PGL also clarified that the streaming of CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 will not be exclusive to Kick, and the live streams will be available on Twitch and YouTube as well. The incentive for watching on Kick will be the ad-free nature of the live stream.
