PS5 is set to get a price drop of Rs 5,000 in India. Similar price drops have been reportedly carried out by Sony in the US, the Middle East and the UK in the past few weeks. It has been reported that the PS5 will have a limited-time summer promotion where customers can save Rs 5,000 on both the standard and Digital Edition.
In a number of countries in the EU, the price of the PS5 disc-based console has been slashed to up to €100. It's usually priced at €549 and some like Spain and Portugal have the console on sale for €449. France and Bulgaria have slashed prices by €75, while Italy has seen a price decrease of €50. These lower prices have led gamers to believe that a new version of the PS5 could be on the way.

Gamers Speculate if the PS5 Slim is Coming Next
There are reports that a new PlayStation 5 console is set to launch soon and insiders claim it well into the development stage. With PlayStation 4, Sony has delivered PS4 Pro and the PS4 Slim. The PlayStation 4 was released in 2013, while the Playstation 4 Slim was released in September 2016, and the PlayStation 4 Pro was released shortly after in November 2016.
Three years into the PS5’s life cycle fans are quite keen to see what's next. Some reports suggest that the next outing is a PS5 Slim with a detachable disc drive. Currently, Sony produces the digital and standard versions of the PS5 console but with the redesign, they’d only need to manufacture one base.
