PlayStation Plus seems to gearing up for one of its biggest clearouts in recent times. It might be the biggest one yet. As per a report from IGN, citing Push Square, the upcoming clearout is said to include the removal of 25 games from the service in May.
Among the titles that will be slashed are eight high-profile games such as Final Fantasy, including classics like Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 15, and the HD remaster of ‘Final Fantasy X|X-2.’
The clearout is scheduled to happen on May 21, 2024, affecting games on platforms including PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The main purpose of the clearout could be to make room for new games like the indie hit ‘Dave the Driver,’ which is coming to the Game Catalog of PlayStation Plus.

Sony To Launch PlayStation 5 Pro Soon
Sony PlayStation 5 Pro could soon hit the markets, at least that’s what the reports suggest. However, what kind of hardware upgrades we will get is yet to be seen. But many rumors and speculations have suggested the upcoming console’s GPU performance.
As per a recent post on X (previously Twitter), The Verge’s Tom Warren shed light on how “Sony has made some interesting choices for its next console” as per PS5 Pro development documentation that he got his hands on. It might not come as a surprise, but Warren suggested that PlayStation Plus’ CPU will “target [a] 3.85GHz [clock speed] (10% more than PS5) in a new ‘high-frequency CPU mode’” with a “3.5 GHz standard mode” that will be similar to the regular PS5.
