Pokemon Go is ready to celebrate the New Year as the game brings trainers a special New Year's 2024 event. The Pokemon Go New Year's event will feature Pocket Monsters, Jigglypuff, and its evolution in New Year-themed costumes, new avatars, reduced egg hatch distance, and will bring more features. Trainers will have increased opportunities to capture shiny Pokemon and catch a rare Bronzer.
Pokemon Go will host the New Year's event for three days from 01 January 2024, 10 AM local time to 03 January 2024, 8 PM local time. Here's what Pokemon is adding to Pokemon Go during the New Year's event for the trainers.

Pokemon Go To Add Mega Ampharos In A Mega Raid And More In New Year's 2024 Event
During the Pokemon Go New Year's 2024 Event, Jigglypuff and its evolution, Wigglytuff, will debut in style as they will be found wearing a ribbon in the wild. Here is the list of wild Pokemon that trainers might encounter frequently during the event period.

- Bronzor (a rare encounter)
Trainers will also encounter costumed Pokemon in the raids. Here are the Pokemon trainers who might engage in the Raids during the New Year's event.

For the event bonuses, Pokemon Go will feature reduced Egg Hatch Distances.
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance is when eggs are placed into incubators during the event.
- 1/4 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget.

Lucky trainers might encounter or hatch a shiny version of the Pokemon mentioned above. Pokemon Go will also feature a New Year's-themed Field Research task, and trainers will earn Stardust upon completion. After completing the Field Research tasks, Darumaka and Bronzer will be available to encounter. Paid Timed Research for $1.00 (or equivalent) will be available, and trainers will be able to meet event-specific Pokémon and earn Stardust, XP, and PokéCoins upon completing research tasks. Pokemon Go will bring a New Year's Box and new avatar items in the in-game shop.
