Popular Indian rapper Raftaar, real name Dillin Nair, has joined the Kick streaming platform. In an Instagram story, Raftaar updated his fans that he will be going live on the platform with his first stream. Indian Rapper Raftaar Joins Kick
During the 9 PM stream, Raftaar was seen with a famous comedian, Samay Raina and both of them discussed a lot of things in the live stream that lasted an hour and a half. During this time, both of them interacted with the chat, answered the questions that the audience had to ask them and played a few of his tracks for the people who attended the live. During the stream, Raftaar was also seen promoting Kick, and even showing Samay how Stake.com works and how different casino games work on the platform.
Fans were excited to see Raftaar on the platform since he is known to be an avid gamer and enjoys mobile gaming. In future streams, fans also anticipate that he will be back with more streams and will play games with his friends and even fans. He is known for his PUBG Mobile: New State gameplay and has also made an official song, RATATA for the game. While Kick is yet to make an official entry into the Indian market, many people are taking this as a sign that this could mark the entry point for the platform's entry into the Indian market.
For the unversed, Kick.com is a Stake.com and trainwreckstv-backed platform that came into existence in December 2022 when the backlash against Twitch grew and people wanted to leave the platform over their platform-favouring revenue split. Trainwreckstv promoted the platform extensively and assured his audience that the platform has a 95/5 split in favour of the creator and its creator-friendly approach. Kick signed Adin Ross as the first creator and then moved to sign many more creators like GM Hikaru Nakamura, Nickmercs, Amouranth, Ice Poseidon, and xQc.
In the past, Raftaar has been criticised for his association with Stake.com and received backlash for promoting a gambling website to his rather impressionable audience on X. The backlash was so huge that Raftaar had to resort to limiting who could comment on the post.
