According to the most recent earnings call from Take-Two Interactive, the games have sold incredibly over the last decade. Red Dead Redemption 2 sales have crossed the 55 Million mark, including selling over 2 Million copies in the first quarter of 2023.
The first game in the series was released in 2010 and was a major commercial and critical success, which gave way to a sequel in 2018 that became one of Rockstar's best-selling titles alongside GTA V.

The digital edition of the game will be available on 17 August 2023 with a physical launch set for 13 October 2023. PS5 users will have to access the game via backwards compatibility.
Globally, RDR will be launched at a $49.99 price for both PS4 and Nintendo. For the Indian audiences, the retail price for the physical copy will be Rs. 3,499 for PS4 and Rs. 3,699 for Nintendo Switch.
