North American League of Legends has seen a massive decline this year. After spending over $600,000 a month, esports organization Sentinels from VCT Americas is plagued by financial woes. TSM have ended their LCS journey and will most likely be heading towards a different region for the next season. However, rumors say that another NA LCS organization has already sold off its spot after not developing significant returns from the League.

Another LCS Team Reportedly Sells Off Their League Spot
In a recent Facebook podcast, LCS interviewer Daniel “dGon” Gonzales said that an organization apart from TSM has already sold off its LCS spot. According to dGon:
“On the topic that you’re talking about though, LS, about teams possibly selling, the rumor is there’s a team that was already sold”.
Although he did not reveal the exact organization that has left the league, dGon said that he was happy with the organization’s departure from LCS. To back his statement, dGon claimed he had two sources that confirmed the information about the departure of an organization from the league. It will be interesting to see how the future pans out for LCS and its fans as North America continues to struggle with sustainability.
Earlier this year, TSM announced that the 2023 season will most likely be their final year of operating in North American League of Legends. Reports have claimed that TSM is targeting the LPL of China as their next hub. As the LCS summer split nears its Grand Finals, NRG Esports and Cloud9 have secured their Worlds 2023 slot. Fans are excited to see NRG’s run in Worlds as they will see Dhokla’s first appearance in an international tournament. Another talking point is that has almost been a decade since Contractz made an international appearance in professional play.
