After launching Squad Busters, a fast-paced multiplayer Party Action Game, globally, Supercell released the first-ever update to the game. The update features a new world, new characters, the addition of skins, and new events to the game. New Squad Busters Update Features Ice World, New Characters, New Skins, And New Events

After launching Squad Busters globally in May 2024, Supercell released the first update to the game. The update focuses on the addition of a new world, Ice World, and four new characters. Ice World will be available to play for a week if the player has reached Desert World. During the first week, players can play the new world and collect Ice Spirits to unlock reward chests and new characters. Ice World features three new characters: Ice Wizard, Dr. T, and Jesse. At the end of the event, Ice World will be added towards the end of the Squad Journey.

Jesse is a rare character with low health and high damage and gets a Turret upon opening a chest. Her super form also drops a Turret Spell, which assists her in fighting her enemies. Ice Wizard is also a rare character with low health and low damage. He shoots frosty ice balls and gains the ability to shoot Freeze Spell upon levelling up. Dr. T is an epic character with high health and moderate damage who can summon Mega Crab to fight his opponents. Bandit will be available to unlock via an event in July, and her abilities will be all about getting more Gems.

Ice World will also feature four new Mods: Super Ice Spirits, Golem Meteors, 1-coin Chests, and Gem Hot Pot. The latest update will also bring the Beach Party Season, a new Gem Pass, and new MEGA Units. Resort Royale King and Sunburn Barbarian will arrive alongside the Beach Party Season in July, and Street Trader and Fast Food Tank will come later in August with the Burgers and Bullets Season. BGMI developer Krafton has recently acquired Tango Gameworks. The Japanese game developer earlier with Microsoft, who had recently announced they would be shutting the developers' operations. With this deal, Krafton is taking its first step into the Japanese video game market. After this deal, Krafton also holds rights to the Hi-Fi Rush franchise.

Krafton Buys Tango Gameworks, Announces Expansion

Tango Gameworks has been known to develop games like Ghostwire: Tokyo, The Evil Within and Hi-Fi Rush is the flagship of the Japanese developer. In a press release, Krafton informed their players and audience about the expansion. 

As part of this strategic agreement, Krafton intends to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition and maintain continuity at Tango Gameworks, allowing the talented team to continue developing the Hi-Fi Rush IP and explore future projects. 

Krafton also announced that will continue to work on future projects that Tango Gameswork was working on. Tango Gameswork had been working on a lot of games and the franchise of Hi-Fi Rush is also likely to continue and will not be impacted by this change of power in the studio.

Krafton intends to support the Tango Gameworks team to continue its commitment to innovation and delivering fresh and exciting experiences for fans. There will be no impact on the existing game catalog of The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the original Hi-Fi Rush game.

Tango Gameswork came into being in 2010 and the first game the studio developed was The Evil Within. In May 2024, Microsoft announced that it would be shutting down three studios that were under Microsoft. Redfall developer Arkane Austin, Mighty Doom developer Alpha Dog Studios, and Tango Gameworks were the three studios. 

Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws is nearing its release this month, and fans are excited to see how the French developers will deliver a Star Wars game to gamers.
