Before the game began, FURIA banned the map of Sunset whereas Team Vitality went ahead with the Bind ban. For the first game, the teams entered FURIA's pick of Breeze with Team Vitality starting on the attack. runneR's aggressive Jett and Kicks' support on Skye helped Vitality break FURIA's defences. runneR's 4K in the final round of the first half helped Vitality close the first half with an 8-4 lead.
While it seemed that Team Vitality was in control, FURIA gained momentum in the second half. mwzera and liazzi looked hungry and hunted down the players from Team Vitality to reduce the lead. As soon as Vitality realized they were losing their hold on the game, they called for a quick timeout, helping them get back into the back. At this point, everyone from Team Vitality stepped up to close the game with a 13-8 scoreline.
The only thing coming in between Team Vitality and the grand finals was the second map of Lotus. While Team Vitality looked unstoppable, mwzera and liazzi from FURIA were the forces to be reckoned with as they helped FURIA secure a 7-3 lead by the end of the 10th round. Even though Team Vitality wasn't looking good economically, a timeout helped them catch their breath and secure the subsequent rounds. By the end of the first half, Team Vitality closed the gap as the scoreline read 7-5 in favour of FURIA.
While FURIA managed to grab the pistol round in the second half of the game, Team Vitality returned by winning back-to-back rounds to equalize the scoreline to 8-8. After the equalizer, FURIA decided to opt for a timeout, but the Brazillian team had no answers to Vitality's attack as the European team continued to consolidate their lead. In the 21st round, Destrian came to the rescue as he successfully clutched a 1v3 against FURIA to grab the 12th round for Vitality, followed by a tremendous 2v4 from Kicks and ceNder to secure map point and win the game with a 13-9 scoreline. With the clutch coming from Kicks and ceNder, Team Vitality confirm their spot in the grand finals.
