Tekken 8 is ready to come out in a few months, and fans are excited to welcome the title with its 32 characters at launch. Recently, developer Bandai Namco paired with EVO to reveal the final base character, showcasing all her new combos and abilities in the title. Reina will join the Tekken 8 roaster as the final main fighter at launch.
The EVO Showcase revealed Reina alongside many other things that fans can expect from the upcoming Tekken title. With the character being comparatively new to the series, gamers have much to discover about her lore and combat style.

Bandai Namco Reveals Reina as the Final Base Fighter in Tekken 8 Among its 32 Characters
In August 2023, director Katsuhiro Harada for the Tekken Project revealed a new Tekken 8 trailer at the Gamescom Opening Night Live. In the trailer, Harada showcased various new things for the title, including the 32-fighter roster that the title will see upon its launch.
At the time, the developers did not disclose all the base fighters that would come to Tekken 8. At the recent EVO Showcase, the 32-character roster was finally completed with Reina's announcement. The reveal trailer for Reina showcases the fresh fighting style that the character will bring into the game. According to the lore, she is also known by the main characters, such as Jin Kazama, as shown in the trailer.
The EVO Showcase also held multiple Show Matches between popular Tekken players who took each on. Moreover, the presentation also incorporated a farewell ceremony where all the Tekken champions came together to bid goodbye to the previous title.
The Tekken franchise is returning after almost 8 years with its next mainline entry and developers have a lot in their pipeline.
