After an intense open qualifier, India's 12 best Valorant teams (top 4 teams from open qualifiers + eight invited teams) fought head to head in The Esports Club Challenger Series, an official VCT OFF//Season event. In the event's first week, all the teams gave their best in the group stages to secure their spot in the playoffs.
In the group stages, twelve teams were divided into two groups facing each other in a best-of-one matchup in the round-robin format in their groups. With the final day of the group stages remaining, the points table is starting to take shape. Here's a look at how the first week of the TEC Challenger Series OFF//Season went.

The Esports Club Challenger Series: Week 1 Recap of South Asian Valorant OFF//Season Tournament
Group A featured MLT Esports, Team Sarafa, GGez, Reckoning Esports, Orangutan Gaming, and Aster Army. After the end of the first week, each team had played four out of their five matches with Aster Army leading the leaderboard undefeated. The fan favorites, Orangutan Gaming, are in second after receiving their first defeat from Aster Army in their third match. Reckoning Esports and GGez are third and fourth on the leaderboard after two wins and two losses. Team Sarafa, with a single win in their bag, is just above MLT Esports, who are at the bottom of the leaderboard without any points.
As for Group B, India Predator League 2024 finalist, True Rippers, are leading the points table without dropping a map. With three victories in their bag, Medal Esports are in second followed by Made in Bharat and Team MysticX with two wins each. Grayfox Esports comes fifth with a single win against Team Hyderabad Hydras, sitting at the bottom of the points table with zero wins.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs where the teams will play against each other in a double-elimination bracket. These South Asian teams are playing to earn the title of TEC Challenger Series Champions and the winner will receive Rs. 7,00,000 out of the Rs. 15,00,000 prize pool.
