The game's protagonist, Detective Sebastian Castellanos, is investigating an ongoing mass murder, where he will encounter creatures from another world. The players will put themselves in the shoes of Sebastian to find who is behind what is happening, with the help of limited resources.

The player will be time travelling to May 2015, where they will have to manipulate the housemates' choices to help them avoid the house fire. While it sounds simple enough, each option the protagonist makes will have a consequence in the future. Eternal Threads will be free on Epic Games Store alongside The Evil Within from 19 October 2023. Fans can claim the game to experience the adrenaline of saving the lives of six people.
