Witcher fans have a treat in store! Ciri and Yennefer from The Witcher have arrived in Fortnite as new outfits. On its official Twitter platform, Fortnite just shared an update alongside a picture of their two outfits. “A Tale of Two Tempests is on the horizon. Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg arrive in Fortnite tomorrow, June 23, at 7 AM ET,” read the post.
Even before the official announcement, fans noted a Player Icon featuring Ciri’s face; the icon is part of an encrypted set. Popular Fortnite leaker, iFireMonkey (via Shiina) said, "A Player Icon with her face was added in today's update, and the icon is part of an encrypted set," Shiina said on Twitter.
Fortnite x The Witcher's Ciri and Yennefer Skins Are Now Live
This is Fortnite’s second collaboration with The Witcher. Earlier this year, The Witcher's main man Geralt of Rivia made an appearance as part of the Chapter 4 Season 1 battle pass. Netflix is about to release the third season of The Witcher series on June 29 and this collaboration is meant to garner, more engagement among fans.
Epic Games often features licensed characters as part of a battle pass, followed by selling a related character. For instance, Spider-Man was available as a battle pass skin followed by Green Goblin which was sold in the Item Shop. The Ciri skin is expected to cost around 1600 V-Bucks. However, the two skins do not resemble the looks of the show. Ciri and Yennefer's looks resemble their game versions. So far, it appears the skins will come with a range of items, including Ciri's Witcher swords, a Basilisk Glider, Yennefer's Megascope, and more. Some users anticipate multiple bundles, containing full outfits which may be released over time.Season 3 of The Witcher is the last season for Henry Cavill, who’s being replaced by Liam Hemsworth for the final two, already-renewed seasons, which have already faced outrage from fans.
