It has been seven months since Starfield's release, Bethesda's first space epic and new IP in 25 years, which delivered a completely different experience than traditional Bethesda titles. However, the game was released to a mixed reception as the title lacked many basic and innovative features that Todd Howard had promised prior to launch.
In a recent interview with Kinda Funny, Howard mentioned more post-launch content that fans can expect very soon. Not only is Starfield ready to receive some much-awaited features, but the game will also improve upon many quality-of-life changes which can significantly alter the experience for gamers.

Starfield Mod Support for Console is Still on the Cards Along with New DLC
One of the most important things fans are excited about Starfield's update is its first expansion, Shattered Space. Alongside that, there is much more coming to the game as well. During the interview with Kinda Funny, Todd Howard teased the date for Shattered Space, by mentioning that it is scheduled to release this fall.
While anything else regarding the particular expansion is still behind the curtains, Howard mentioned more "add-on content" for his space epic. Bethesda will continue to add more quality-of-life updates, as Howard also mentioned that the next update will be announced in a few days before it arrives on Steam Beta.
In a statement, he mentioned that the Starfield update would add more features to the shipbuilding. He said:
"Itβs got some great stuff for shipbuilding as well."
Aside from the shipbuilding features, gamers can also look forward to display modes on the console. Todd Howard has also planned 'something big' for Starfield which remains a mystery to fans. The title will also see new gameplay and difficulty options, allowing gamers to play the game levels with more preferences.
Since Starfield's release on September 2023, the community has been tirelessly working on modding the game. Last year, Todd Howard promised fans to give more modding freedom for the game. The Starfield Creation Kit will be a huge part of that, as Howard stated it will allow gamers to freely mod their games with less hassles.
Howard has mentioned that Bethesda will touch on that topic officially soon, and how it will work for the modders when using it with Starfield. As of now, gamers must wait for the official expansion release.
